Today, it’s home to several research institutes devoted to studies of stem cells, cancer, and global health, among other fields.
Students at the Keck School of Medicine can earn an M.D. through a four-year program, or choose a joint degree that combines an M.D. with either a Ph.D., M.B.A., M.S. in clinical and biomedical investigations, or a master of public health.
Other master’s degrees conferred at the Keck School of Medicine include those in public health, global medicine, clinical and biomedical investigations, and nurse anesthesia. The Keck School of Medicine also has more than 200 community outreach programs in which students and faculty can participate.
Outside of academics, med students can check out USC’s more than 600 student organizations, or root for the school’s Division I sports program, including USC Trojans football, which has won more Rose Bowls than any other college team.
There’s also much to do in L.A., one of America’s most populous cities that is home to many restaurants, shops, and cultural events. After graduating from the USC School of Medicine, grads can keep in touch with their classmates and school through TALK, the quarterly Keck School e-newsletter.
