The Mayo Medical School is the teaching arm of the Mayo Medical Clinic. Though the Mayo Medical School is based in Rochester, Minn., students may also have the opportunity to study and complete residencies at the Mayo Clinics in Phoenix and Jacksonville, Fla. On the Rochester campus, medical students may also learn and work at the nearby Saint Marys Hospital and the Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Outside of their studies, Mayo students can get involved in governance issues, including serving on the curriculum, admissions, and financial aid committees, or in the Mayo chapters of national organizations, such as the Student National Medical Association and the American Medical Women’s Association. After graduation, more than 20 percent of students take jobs at Mayo medical institutions.
