Students can get involved with about 20 student organizations, including the Jackie Chiles Law Society, a group named after a character on  Seinfeld that examines the intersection of popular culture and the law, and the Latter-day Saints Law Student Association, dedicated to the intersection of religion and the law. Additional opportunities to get involved may be found in the several research projects and centers at the University of Utah College of Law, such as the Utah Criminal Justice Center, a collaborative project with the Utah Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice aimed at reducing crime and influencing public policy.
