The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law is a two-campus institution, with locations in Carlisle and University Park, and students can choose to study at either one. (The University Park campus is located alongside Pennsylvania State University; the Carlisle campus is close to Dickinson College.) All Penn State law students pay the same tuition, whether they are in-state or out-of-state students, and no matter if they are studying in Carlisle or University Park.
Penn State Law allows students to specialize in a variety of concentrations, including business law, international and transnational law, and science and technology law. Penn State Law students interested in completing a dual degree have more than 15 options to choose from, including a J.D./M.B.A. through the Penn State Smeal College of Business, a J.D./master of forest resources through the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences, and a J.D./master of international affairs through the Penn State School of International Affairs. Also in conjunction with the graduate School of International Affairs, law students developed a television series called World on Trial, and have a variety of opportunities to study abroad.
Outside of class, law students may be able to get involved with scholarly journals including the Penn State Law Review, the Penn State Journal of Law and International Affairs, and the Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation. Students may also find opportunities to get involved in a variety of school-run centers, including the Agricultural Law Resource and Reference Center, the Center on Children and the Law, and the Institute for Sports Law, Policy, and Research.
