Students can also choose from more than 40 student organizations to get involved with, including the Sports and Entertainment Law Association and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. There are also five legal journals at Moritz, including the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal, the Ohio State Law Journal, and I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. Students can live in university housing in Columbus, if they wish.
Slightly more than half of Moritz College of Law graduates stay in Ohio to work, and some of the school’s most notable alumni include Howard Metzenbaum, a former U.S. Senator from Ohio; William Saxbe, former U.S. Attorney General, Ohio Senator, and U.S. Ambassador to India; and Erin Moriarty, a correspondent on the CBS news show 48 Hours.
