Law students can also earn another concurrent degree through a variety of dual degree program options, including a J.D./C.L./M.B.A. or a J.D./C.L./Master of Finance, both offered through LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business.
Students can get focused legal training through the school’s four clinics: the Juvenile Representation Clinic, the Domestic Violence Protection Clinic, the Immigration Legal Services Clinic, and the Family Mediation Clinic. The Hebert Law Center also houses a variety of research centers and institutions, including the Mineral Law Institute, the Louisiana Law Institute, and the Pugh Institute for Justice.
The law school student body balances school work with extracurricular activities, from the TGIF celebrations held on the Law Center steps each Friday to Assault and Flattery, an annual roast of Law Center professors. There are also a variety of student organizations to check out, including the Louisiana Oil and Gas Society and the Civilian Student Society. Journals at LSU Law include the Louisiana Law Review and the Journal of Energy Law and Resources.
