The College of Education at the University of Oregon readies graduate students to work as teachers, administrators, researchers, and social scientists through broad academic options and research opportunities. The College of Education has spearheaded academic programming used in schools across the nation, including the Positive Behavior Support system, which has reached more than 10,000 schools, and the Youth Transition Program, used in more than three-quarters of Oregon high schools.

Graduate students can complete master’s or doctoral degrees in Eugene or select degrees at facilities in Portland, Ore. and Vancouver, Canada. To supplement a graduate education, students can get involved in research and outreach projects. There are more than 10 research centers on campus, like the Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior and the Center for Electronic Studying. The school receives federal funding for some of its specialty offerings, like the American Indian Teacher Education program and special education degree. Graduate students take classes in the Education Complex, a set of buildings on the UO campus in Eugene, Ore. Students can live on campus, too.
