Education School Overview

At the University of Michigan School of Education, there are master of science and master of arts degrees for current and future educators, administrators, and leaders. Students can complete dual master’s degrees in higher education and public policy in conjunction with the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, a program that takes two years to complete. The Michigan SOE also grants Ph.D.’s in more than 10 areas including Learning Technologies and Organization Behavior and Management.

The school is home to about 10 research groups, centers, and initiatives, and is affiliated with about 10 additional centers and institutes. Graduate students seeking on-campus housing can live in apartments and townhouses in the University of Michigan’s Northwood Community, which is home to other graduate students, faculty, and staff.
