Education School Overview
At the Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology, graduate students have several directions in which to take their education. A wide variety of graduate programs, from Early Childhood Education to Fashion and Retail Studies, are offered through the school’s academic departments: Consumer Sciences; Educational Policy and Leadership; Human Development and Family Science; Human Nutrition; Physical Activity and Educational Services; and Teaching and Learning. Students can earn M.A., M.Ed. and Ph.D. degrees in each department.
The school runs a handful of outreach programs and centers, including the ESL-Content Teachers Collaborative, which trains English as a Second Language teachers in Ohio, and the Reading Recovery Council of North America, a personal tutoring program for struggling first graders.
