Business School Overview

The School of Business at Worcester Polytechnic Institute offers graduate programs in these departments and concentrations: accounting, actuarial science, e-commerce, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, general management, industrial management, leadership, manufacturing and technology management, marketing, management information systems, production/operations management, organizational behavior, supply chain management/logistics, quantitative analysis/statistics and operations research, and technology. Its tuition is full-time: $1,239 per credit; part-time: $1,239 per credit; and executive: $1,239 per credit.

In the WPI School of Business, in Worcester Mass., graduate students can earn an M.B.A. or a master of science. There are three tracks for the Innovator’s M.B.A., which stresses technology-focused curriculum. WPI School of Business students with professional experience in the field can pursue the “cohort track,” which spans 32 months and meets twice a semester on campus. WPI business students can also earn an M.B.A. by taking classes on campus during weekday evenings, or by they can choose the “flex” track, which combines web-based learning with on-campus classes.

In each of the M.B.A. routes that the School of Business offers, the curriculum is the same: 10 required courses, two projects, and four electives, such as information technology or supply chain management. Technology is a major theme in the WPI School of Business M.S. degrees, which include management, information technology, marketing and technology innovation, and operations design and leadership.
