The University of Kentucky and the Gatton College of Business and Economics are located in Lexington, which is known as the “Horse Capital of the World” for its race tracks and stables. Besides equestrian activities, graduate students in the Gatton College of Business and Economics can check out the nearby shopping centers and restaurants, art scenes such as the Opera House and Lexington Ballet, and, on campus, the Division I UK Wildcats sports teams, which are well known for men’s basketball.

Graduate students at the Gatton College of Business and Economics students can earn an M.B.A. in 11 months as they work on special projects with corporate firms. There is also a two year, evening M.B.A. program for students who work during the day.

Gatton students who want to earn two degrees can combine an M.B.A. with an B.S. in engineering from the College of Engineering, or a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Outside the classroom, students can check out the Gatton College of Business and Economics M.B.A. Student Association, which plans professional development activities and community service projects, among other services.

University of Kentucky business students can also earn an M.S. in accounting or economics from the Gatton College of Business and Economics. For post-graduation planning, University of Kentucky business students should stop by Gatton College’s Graham Office of Career Management, which hosts on-campus interviews and career fairs, and helps students with career planning.
