The Shidler College of Business at University of Hawaii—Manoa is located on the island of O’ahu, near Honolulu. The school’s unique location is perfect for active students who want to take a break from academics, and UH Manoa’s recreation center coordinates kayaking trips, sailing and surfing classes, snorkeling and hiking excursions, among other activities.

Students can also drive just a few minutes to downtown Honolulu, where there are many shopping centers and cultural events. The Shidler College of Business hosts many events, too, including lecture series, career fairs, and a winetasting fundraiser.

Inside the classroom, Shidler grad students can choose from many programs, including  a masters of accounting, M.S. in financial engineering, or several kinds of M.B.A. programs. The standard M.B.A. program can be taken either full or part time and is offered at the Manoa campus.

Students who want their degree to be more globally focused can check out Shidler’s Japan-Focused M.B.A., which includes a three-month internship in Japan, or the China International M.B.A., which includes a nine-month study abroad trip at the Sun Yat-Sen University School of Business in Guangzhou, China. International students can pursue the U.S. International M.B.A., which consists of 10 months of coursework at Sun Yat-Sen University, 8 months at UH Manoa, and a 1- to 2-month internship somewhere in the United States.

Shidler College of Business also offers joint degree programs that pair an M.B.A. with an M.S. in civil engineering, an M.S. in nursing administration from the School of Nursing, or a J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law. Professionals with extensive industry experience can also check out the school’s many executive programs.

Shidler College of Business students who want to make the most of their degree can visit the Office of Internships and Career Development, which helps with career advising, interview preparation, and networking opportunities.
