Business School Overview

The Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida gives students a variety of options in their business education. Students that enter the full-time M.B.A. program can choose from three full-time paths: a two-year sequence, a one-year accelerated M.B.A. program, or a 10-month program.

Hough Graduate School students can choose the path that is best tailored to their past experiences and future goals. Those that are interested in global studies can take part in UF Global Immersion Experiences, a two-credit semester-long course that includes a 7 to 10 day experience abroad. There are more than 100 elective courses available within the school for students to customize their degrees, and many can be taken independently or combined with other courses.

Along with the full-time M.B.A. options, the school also offers a working professional M.B.A., an online M.B.A., and specialized master’s programs in subjects such as marketing, management, and finance. Joint degrees are offered in conjunction with the Levin College of Law, the College of Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy. There are roughly 10 M.B.A.-related student clubs and organizations available to students at the University of Florida, including the Sports and Entertainment Business Society and the M.B.A. Association at the University of Florida.

Notable alumni of the Hough Graduate School of Business include Alan Cohen, owner of the NHL’s Florida Panthers, and Hal Steinbrenner, part owner of the MLB’s New York Yankees.
