Business School Overview
The Carl H. Lindner College of Business at University of Cincinnati offers these departments and concentrations: accounting, economics, finance, general management, international business, marketing, management information systems, production/operations management, real estate, quantitative analysis/statistics and operations research, and tax. The University of Cincinnati, a public institution, is located on the Ohio River, across the water from Kentucky. Students in the Lindner College of Business at UC can get real-world experience in the many businesses of the area, including the Procter & Gamble headquarters, and have fun at regional attractions such as the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and the Kings Island amusement park. On campus, business students can connect with the university community by cheering on the Division I UC Bearcats sports teams, or by joining one of the more than 300 student organizations.
In the classroom, graduate students at the Lindner College of Business can earn an M.A. in applied economics, an M.S. in accounting, information systems, marketing, or quantitative analysis, or an MBA. Full-time MBA students attend class in UC’s main Uptown campus, and can earn the degree in either 12 or 15 months. In Clifton, just north of downtown Cincinnati, the Lindner College of Business offers a 21-month dual degree program that combines an MBA with a business-related M.S.
There are also several joint degrees available at Lindner, which pair an MBA with a master’s degree in either law, medicine, nursing, or arts administration. UC students can also pursue a part-time MBA program either on the main campus or in Blue Ash, a Cincinnati suburb.
Lindner College of Business students thinking about the next step after graduation can explore the UC Career Development Center, which hosts career fairs, on-campus recruiting events, and workshops. The UC Alumni Association, which connects graduates to more than 247,000 living alumni worldwide, can also provide career assistance via networking events and job boards.
