Business School Overview

The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University—West Lafayette focuses its program on offering students a graduate business experience that goes beyond the classroom. The school provides the Experiential Learning Initiative to all full-time M.B.A. students, which allows students to apply prior business knowledge and classroom learning to a business setting.Full-time students also have the opportunity to complete studies in one or two focused areas, known as option areas, which allow students to create a niche for themselves as they complete their M.B.A. studies.

Along with a full-time program, the Krannert School of Management also offers an executive and weekend M.B.A.; Ph.D. programs focused in Economics, Management, and Human Resources; and graduate degrees in Finance, Industrial Administration, and Human Resource Management. Joint degrees are offered in conjunction with the Purdue College of Engineering. Undergraduates interested in completing their bachelor’s and master’s before entering the professional sector can enroll in the “3+2” program, which allows select students to earn their undergraduate and M.B.A. degrees in five years.

There are more than 15 clubs and organizations available to Krannert graduate students, including the Krannert Graduate Student Association and the Krannert Wine Club. Notable alumni of the school include Marshall Larsen, chairman, president, and CEO of Goodrich Corp., a global supplier of aerospace systems and services; Joe Forehand, former chairman and CEO of management consulting firm Accenture; and John Krenicki, Jr., president and CEO of GE Energy Infrastructure.
