Students at the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University can choose to study at the main campus in Stillwater, or in Tulsa, which is about 70 miles to the east. At the Tulsa campus, students who are struggling in class can be confidentially referred by their instructor to a Student Early Assistance Program (SEAP) coordinator. The coordinator then helps students by connecting them with academic advisers, tutors, financial aid counselors, and other resources.
Spears students at the Stillwater campus can choose from several master’s degree programs, including accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, management information systems, quantitative financial economics, telecommunications management, and business administration.
M.B.A. students at Spears School of Business can earn their degrees in several ways: They can attend classes in Stillwater, Tulsa, or anywhere else via online classes. They can also enroll as either full-time or part-time students.
Other M.B.A. options include the professional M.B.A., which is a 36 credit hour program designed for students who already have at least three years of managerial experience, and the dual M.B.A., through which students earn an M.B.A. along with either a doctorate of osteopathic medicine or master’s of science in telecommunications management.
M.B.A. students who scored highly on the GMAT can apply for the competitive graduate teaching assistantships, and the top M.B.A. students in the class can pursue the Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CIE) Scholars Program, which awards $5,000 over two semesters. Graduates are eligible to join the OSU Alumni Association’s Spears School chapter and help with spreading the word about the school and recruiting future students.
