The E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University--Baton Rouge offers graduate programs in these departments and concentrations: accounting, consulting, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, health care administration, human resources management, international business, marketing, management information systems, public administration, real estate, supply chain management/logistics, and quantitative analysis/statistics and operations research. Academically, students in the E.J. Ourso College of Business have about a dozen unique business institutes, centers, and initiatives to explore. The Modern Chinese Business and Culture initiative helps prepare students to work with Chinese businesspeople; the Securities Markets Analysis Research and Trading (SMART) Lab simulates a fast-paced market floor; and the Stephenson Disaster Management Institute works to improve the response systems to disasters.
In the classroom, graduate students can earn a full-time Flores M.B.A., or, if they already have significant work experience in the field, a professional or executive M.B.A. The professional M.B.A. is designed for students with at least three years of professional experience, and the classes can be completed either two evenings per week in 22 months, or one evening per week in 44 months.
The executive M.B.A. program is for people with at least five years of professional experience, and can be completed in 17 months by taking one class per month. Students can also earn an M.B.A. along with a J.D. from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Other master’s degree programs at the E.J. Ourso College of Business include public administration, economics, finance, accounting, and information systems and decision sciences.
