Full-time students can complete their M.B.A.’s in three semesters through a full-time program on the school’s campus in eastern Alabama. The full-time program focuses on leadership development, and includes an internship and an international trip. Dual degree options are available to full-time students, and include a M.S. in industrial systems engineering, information systems, or finance.
Part-time students at Auburn’s College of Business can earn their M.B.A.’s one of two ways: a 21-month executive M.B.A. that blends online discussion and lectures on DVD with weeklong on-campus residencies, or a self-paced online program consisting of online lectures and assignments submitted electronically or through the mail.
Keeping with the school’s focus on leadership, students compete each fall in leadership challenges at the Blue Ridge Leadership Conference. Students can also take advantage of networking opportunities and gain leadership experience through student organizations such as the Auburn Supply Chain Management Association, the International Business Club, and the Real Estate Society.
Outside of the academic realm, M.B.A. students at Auburn can don the schools colors— navy blue and burnt orange—to cheer on the Tigers as they compete against other Southeastern Conference foes. Notable alumni from Auburn University’s College of Business include Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat for Humanity; Jimmy Wales, cofounder of Wikipedia; and L. Phillip Humann Jr., former chairman of the board of SunTrust Bank, Inc.
